Itinerary
Day 01: Delhi- Leh
Take a domestic flight from Delhi to the Leh Airport.
Day 02: Leh -Lamayuru
(3 ½ hrs drive)
From leh, drive to the lamayuru in the morning. On the way, you will see the oldest and the most popular monasteries of ladakh-Alchi monastery and Likir monastery, constructed in 11 century by lotsawa Rinchen Sangpo Lamayuru. Stay here for one day for local sightseeing here.
Day 03: Lamayuru - Wanla (3-4 hrs)
From lamayuru, take a ride to the Wanla by passing through small pass Prinkti La (3750m) moving down to the village Shilla .
Day 04: Wanla - Base of Tar La 8 hrs (4200 mts/13776 ft)
By passing few small Villages drive yourself to the base of Tar la .
Day 08: Leh - Delhi
In the morning transfer to airport to catch the flight for Delhi.
Day 05: Base of Tar La - Tar (4300 mts/14105 ft) via Tar La (5250 mts/17220 ft)
The trail ascends and descends a few times before you arrive at Tar La. The way down to the village of Tar is over boulders.
Day 06: Tar - Mang Gyu 5 hrs
Passing through small pass above tar visit the village of Mang Gyu, here you can visit the small monastery.
Day 07: Mang Gyu - Alchi - Leh 2 hrs
From Mang gyu, trail towards the Alchi via small named village of gera .
