Itinerary
Day 1-Arrival at leh:
Leh is situated at about an altitude of 3500 mtrs from sea level. You can arrive here in the morning and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2 : Leh local sightseeing
Leh is a sole of Ladakh. There are numerous places to visit here like Leh Palace,Shanti Stupa, Hall of Fame, Hemis Gonpa, Shey Palace, Alchi Choskor, Lamayuru Gonpa, Kali Mata (Temple of Guardians in Spituk monastery), Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Point and Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar rivers, Thiksey Gonpa, Stok Palace and Museum and so on.
Day 3 : Leh - Lamayuru-Uleytoko.
In the morning time you can visit the Lamayuru- circuit, widely famous for Lamayuru monastery and the adjoining ‘Moonland’ features. It is about 130 km from Leh. After sightseeing in here you can go back on the leh route till you reach to Uleytoko (60 km)
Day 4:Uleytoko-Leh.
From uleytoko you can drive towards leh amidst you will see the oldest surviving monastic heritage of Ladakh- Alchi Choskor, Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), Magnetic Point, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Kali Mata (Temple of Guardians in Spituk monastery) & Hall of Fame.
Day5: Leh-Nubra Valley
Nubra valley popularly known as Ldumra (the valley of flowers). Camels, sand dunes, Deskit and monasteries are the hot favorite tourist attractions here.You can visit here by driving across Khardong-la (alt: 18,380 ft) .
Day 6: Nubra Valley-Leh
On return, you can enjoy the camel safari by exploring deskits , Hundar and the Sand Dunes.
Day 7 : Leh-Pangong Lake-Leh
Pangong lake is located at an altitude of about 4300 m, it is a must see site for the visitors.You can reach here from leh via Chang-la pass(alt: 17370 ft.). After sightseeing around the lake, drive back to Leh.
Day 8 : Leh
Spend your whole day in the heart of the town to relax yourself. In the evening time you can visit the Shanti Stupa, Sankar Gompa, Leh Palace & the markets.
Day 9 : Leh-Tsomoriri / Korzok (15070 ft. / 220 kms.).
In the early morning drive yourself to Tsomo-riri Lake (alt: 15,000 ft.) via Chumathang (hot springs), Mahe and Puga Sumdo. Tsomoriri Lake (28 km long & about 8 km wide) which is the breeding ground of many migratory birds including the rare bar-headed geese. Take a dinner and stay overnight in the nearby hotel.
Day 10 : Tsomoriri-Tsokar-Taglangla-Leh (17582 ft.)-Leh-approx 200 kms)
After breakfast retrace the route down to Puga Sumdo and then follow the road across the Polokongka Pass (4920 mtrs) to reach the famous salt lake i.e. Tsokar situated near Rupso in Leh district. It is about 140 sq km. After sightseeing of the area take the Manali-Leh road to return to Leh crossing Taglang-la.
Day 11 : Departure Leh
Early morning take a flight from the leh airport.
